This is Jack

Abby Theuring, The Badass Breastfeeder, breastfeeding son.

This is Jack. He’s 4.5 years old. He nurses to sleep and for comfort, a couple times a day, but if it were up to him it would be 75 times a day! He likes to be worn in a toddler carrier if we are in a new or loud place. He likes trucks, Rescue Bots and telling stories. He has ideas for books and plays. He loves to run. He’s sensitive, talkative and funny. Breastfeeding has given him nothing but milk, love, nurturance, security, comfort, safety and attachment which will lead to independence, courage, health, self esteem and emotional security.

  1. Hey Abby,

I wanted to ask you about Jack’s sleep in recent times as I am feeling like I’m losing my mind with my daughter. She is very sensitive and a little night owl, and I remember you struggling with Jack’s late nights a while ago. Amelia was sleeping much better for a few months (well still waking up to nurse many times, but at least the bedtime was reasonable), but since Christmas it’s been 1am at the earliest and we are back to 3am with a huge psycho meltdown as she gets overly tired, and I guess I just wanted to know if it got better for you, and maybe have a little hope to hold onto for next week! I’d be grateful for any input about and info about what worked better with Jack, as they seem to have similar traits, that is if you have time as I know you are a very busy Mama with those two boys!
