Review & Giveaway of Bravado Designs Nursing and Pumping Wardrobe

You know that saying, “Bras must have been invented by a man.” It’s something many of us have thought when putting on these uncomfortable contraptions. They can seem like they have no function other than to hoist our bosom to our chin. But bras serve a purpose for many women, and this purpose gets even more important if you are a breastfeeding or pumping mom who needs her hands-free. Wouldn’t it be nice if someone would ask a bunch of women what would make them more comfortable and functional?

Well, Bravado Designs did just that.

Through research it was found that almost all of the moms they surveyed pump at home, at work or in their car. The usage of pumping bras and bustiers increase every year as moms search for a comfortable and hands-free way to pump.

They also discovered that moms were dissatisfied with current hands-free pumping options. Moms told Bravado they dislike having to expose their entire breast when using a bustier. Additionally, with current styles, it’s difficult to insert and remove the breast shield. Some styles require you to completely remove the shield from the bottle, which can cause a spill. A pumping mom’s worst nightmare! Lack of support to maintain suction as well as discomfort are other problems with current hands-free pumping options.

Bravado Designs Clip and Pump Hands-Free Nursing Bra Accessory

Clip and Pump Nursing Bra Accessory

On February 1st, Bravado Designs launched the Clip and Pump Nursing Bra Accessory. Right out of the package it, looks like a bra with some missing pieces. It’s actually an attachment to all of Bravado’s ‘B’ Nursing Clips. While wearing any of their nursing bras or nursing camis, you simply detach the clip as you would if you were going to nurse and attach the Nursing Bra Accessory onto the bra clip. Pull the bra cup down and insert your breast shield with a simple circular motion. Never exposing your breast and holding your breast shield secure. Remove with a simple circular motion with no need to detach the bottle. Watch it happen in less than a minute here!

Bravado’s bras and cami are knitted in one piece with no seam and the ability to stretch in all directions. This is very important considering our breasts seem to do the same thing starting in pregnancy! There is no compression so not to affect milk flow from the milk ducts, which can cause clogged ducts. All Bravado products are Oeko-Tex certified; free from harmful substances and safe for babies and children.

The deal breaker for me with any bra is if my giant 5-year breastfeeding nipples can be seen through the material. Seriously, you would be surprised what they can poke through. The Bravado bras come with a removable foam insert that provides a totally smooth look. The bras and cami are so comfortable that many of us want to continue to wear them when we are done breastfeeding. They all come with a Bra Conversion Kit (BCK) that converts them into a normal bra!

I would love a new Bravado wardrobe. With a new baby on the way I have found that my body silk bras and essential nursing tanks are a bit on the snug side, and I should go up a size. They really made my 1st nursing experience much more easy. The bras and tanks are so comfy that you could easily forget that you are wearing one. This mama is also guilty of wearing her Bravado well after her 14 month nursing adventure ended! Looking forward to my next adventure with Bravados support.

My best friend was and is my greatest resource when it came to breastfeeding. She would always say trust your body..you got this!! I would love this wardrobe as my current bras resemble medival torture devices!

My best piece of breastfeeding advice is “Don’t Give Up, Keep At It” You Can Do It!! There is so much support out there now, help and products available. Social media has been extremely helping for me in finding breastfeeding groups, specialist who are willing to offer free advice and helpful Moms who have awesome ideas too! Plus, seeing different products I’ve never heard about before and probably wouldn’t have that have helped me succeed so far in my breastfeeding journey. These products would really come in handy as I continue to breastfeed my 9 month old son. He will be my first of 3 that I plan on extended breastfeeding. I had no idea the benefits of extended breastfeeding with my first 2 and stopped at 12 months. I didn’t have family members or friends that breastfed so I’ve learned on my own through the help of wonderful strangers I will never meet. It’s easy to give up at times but take it one day at a time. Set short term breastfeeding goals and even on days when it seems hard just reach out on social media for help and you will get the support you need plus some! Wether you are exclusively breastfeeding, exclusively pumping, both or supplementing with formula too every drop counts for your baby. Just do the best you can do and don’t stress yourself Mama. You can do it!

  4. I need these! I’ve found that most nursing bras, tanks, or any other clothes aren’t made to last. Most of mine have holes, are coming apart, or have lost their elasticity after almost 4 years of use. Some of us mommas spend many years in these clothes and bras and we need them to last!

Best advice: Your milk is perfect for your little one.

  6. Asia Muth says:

The best advice I got was with my fourth child, now 5 months old.
My supply would always start dwindling around 4 months but this time, I can’t even keep up with how many bras and nursing pads I go through in a day. I absolutely believe this is because a close friend told me not to force the pacifier on him and just nurse, nurse, nurse!
He will be 5 months old tomorrow and he is my first to not have a pacifier and my first to have an abundant supply with!

  7. Amanda Rivera says:

My sis in law in a new nursing mother
Id love to show her your products! Nursing is AMAZING! Even more when you have the right wardrobe: )

  8. Keep going, don’t let one bad day ruin the experience

  9. Priscilla hruby says:

Not sure if we’re sposed to comment here or on fb but I commented “Sleep when the baby sleeps was good advice! Not always followed but good once I was able to do so lol”

  10. Would love a new nursing bra, 16 months and still going!

    • Best advice I’ve gotten is to keep going until you reach a month after that breastfeeding gets so much easier!
